European Theatre Lab kicks off webinar series

The European Theatre Lab held its very first digital training seminar, known as a webinar. Specially designed to strengthen digital communications skills, the webinar brought together participants from around Europe. It is part of the three-part series called “Social Media for the Creative Sector“.

“As Europe’s leading network of public theatres, ETC members are truly everywhere in Europe,” explained Heidi Wiley, General Secretary of the ETC. “As a leader in our field, it is our job to bring everyone together and provide training whenever – and however – we can. That’s why we strive to use new low-cost technologies that connect people and we encourage our members to do the same.”

Indeed, a central goal of the European Theatre Lab is to encourage theatres to learn how to use new digital tools – which are often low-cost or even free – to push the boundaries of these technologies and discover their creative potential.

In line with this philosophy, the project provides training to project communicators to get the word out about the European Theatre Lab. The next two webinars in the series will consider how theatres can use social media for storytelling and delve into the day-to-day aspects of running a social media campaign – on a shoestring budget, of course.

Save the date: the next webinar will be held on 2 May
